Geosciences at the service of development
|
Pau and its community is a true City of the Geosciences, with more than 2000 geologists, geophysicists, reservoir engineers, training instructors, researchers and students of the earth sciences. Pau and its region are an open space of information and debate.
Directions in the fields of the environment and sustainable development can only be decided upon with a sound grasp of the Earth, its history, its dynamics and its structure. With a world population of 6.8 billion in 2008 and 8 billion in 2025, performing the best assessment of the Earth’s limited, but essential resources and exploiting them wisely has become a vital necessity.
Supporting sustainable development by developing competencies in the geosciences: an ambition that we wish to share, sustainably, with you!
